A fairy tale night at Hilton Hotel Podgorica Crna Gora

 

Nu este vorba despre oameni, nici despre locuri, ci despre tine. Despre cum privești tu experiențele, despre cum alegi să le trăiești, despre câtă bucurie îți produc. Despre felul în care te simți în fiecare loc și despre cum reușești să îl transformi, de fiecare dată, într-o poveste ce pare, din nou și din nou, cea mai frumoasă. Poate că așa și este, dacă învățăm constant să trăim cu bucurie fiecare moment. Parcă se amplifică emoțiile și ajungem să descoperim cât de multe lucruri ne fac fericiți. Ei bine, noaptea petrecută în Podgorica, frumoasa capitală a Muntenegrului, m-a găsit Hotel Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora. Spre bucuria mea, deoarece a fost una dintre cele mai frumoase nopți ale proiectului „Be a Balkan in the middle of the Balkans”. Mai exact, povestea mea, care s-a intersectat, pentru o seară, cu povestea acestui prestigios hotel.

De ce? Nu am un răspuns concret. Drumul atât de frumos prin Muntenegru, primul contact cu Podgorica, hotelul care te îndeamnă, să îi calci pragul (și nu doar o dată), primirea călduroasă, ospitalitatea oamenilor, camera de la ultimul etaj ce mi-a oferit una dintre cele mai frumoase priveliști, terasa de pe acoperiș de unde nu m-am mișcat nicio clipă până la ora închiderii, toate acestea au contribuit la o experiență unică.

EN: It’s not about people, nor is it about places, it is about you. About the way you perceive the experiences, about how you choose to live them, about how much pleasure they offer to you. About the way you feel in every place and the way you manage, every single time, to turn it into a story which seems, again and again, the most thrilling. Or maybe it really is, if we constantly learn to live every moment joyfully. It seems like our emotions magnify and we get to discover the abundance of things which make us happy. Well, the night I have spent in Podgorica, the beautiful capital city of Montenegro, found me at Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora. This contributed to my delight, because it was one of the most beautiful nights during the project “Be a Balkan in the middle of the Balkans”. More specifically, it was my story, which met, for one night, the story of this prestigious hotel.

Why? I do not hold a tangible answer. The spectacular roads of Montenegro, my first contact with Podgorica, the hotel which prompts you to cross its threshold (and not only once), the warm welcome I received here, the people’s hospitality, my room at the top floor which offered to me one of the most beautiful views, the rooftop terrace which kept me there until its closing hour, all this things contributed to an unique experience.

 

Despre hotelul Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora – About Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora

 

Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora este un hotel vechi și nou, totodată. Mai exact, fostul simbol al orașului și al turismului din Muntenegru, hotelul Crna Gora, primul hotel din Podgorica, construit în anul 1953, a fost preluat de prestigiosul brand Hilton și complet renovat. Astfel, după 60 de ani în care a primit oaspeți din întreaga lume, a intrat într-un plin proces de modernizare și, din anul 2016, a redevenit un simbol al orașului. Unul care este, din punctul meu de vedere, o promisiune frumos onorată către oaspeți, dar și către întreg turismul din Muntenegru. Acela de a avea parte de tot confortul și de toate facilitățile care să creeze experiențe de neuitat. Un hotel care îmbină elemente arhitecturale și de mobilier elegante, tradiționale și moderne, totodată, cu luxul pe care hotelurile Hilton îl oferă tuturor oaspeților săi.

Câteva elemente ale fostului hotel, ca o recunoaștere, parcă, a ceea ce a însemnat el pentru muntenegreni, se pot regăsi și în noul hotel, cum ar fi, spre exemplu, tablourile unui pictor local ce decorează acum pereții din holul principal. Pentru că este vorba despre oameni și despre ceea ce ei reușesc să transpună mai departe de timp. Și pentru că am simțit că, prin intermediul oamenilor, seara aceea mi-a fost dedicată. Chiar dacă hotelul era ocupat aproape în totalitate, am reușit, într-un fel, să mă simt unul dintre cei mai speciali oaspeți.

EN: Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora is both an old and a new hotel at the same time. More exactly, the former symbol of the city and of the tourism in Montenegro, the Crna Gora hotel, the first one in Podgorica, built in 1953, has been taken over by the prestigious Hilton brand and completely restored. Thus, after 60 years of receiving guests from all over the world, it suffered a complete process of improvement and, in 2016, it became again a symbol of the city. One which is, from my point of view, a respectably honoured promise to its guests, but also to the entire tourism of Montenegro, the promise of providing outstanding comfort and all the facilities which help creating unforgettable experiences. A hotel which combines elegant, traditional and at the same time modern architectural elements and pieces of furniture with the luxury Hilton hotels offer to all its guests.

There are some elements of the former hotel which can be found in the new one, as an acknowledgement of what it had meant for the Montenegrins. As an example, there are some paintings that were created by a local artist which are now decorating the walls in the main hall. It’s about people and what they manage to convey through and beyond time. I really felt that, by dint of the people, that night was dedicated to me. Although the hotel was almost full of guests, somehow I managed to feel one of the most special of them.

 

Amplasamentul – Location

 

Ai spune că un hotel amplasat cât mai aproape de centrul orașului este cea mai bună alegere. Perfect de acord cu tine, însă, atunci când ieși din hotel, faci doi pași și ajungi la Trg Republike, piața centrală și locul în care se reunesc localnicii, se poate spune că ești cu adevărat în inima orașului? Ori atunci când traversezi un parc (Krajlev Park) și ajungi la Stara Varos, vechiul oraș turcesc? Sau atunci când realizezi că în jurul tău se desfășoară, parcă, toată viața din Podgorica (sau cea mai intensă parte a ei), fiind o zonă înconjurată de terase, restaurante ori magazine?

Exact, Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora este situat chiar în centrul orașului și, de aici, poți face plimbări către toate punctele de atracție. Plimbări lejere, relaxate și relaxante, de doar câteva minute.Mijloacele de transport în comun ori taxiurile devin inutile aici. Chiar și mașina personală, pe care o puteți lăsa frumos în parcarea subterană a hotelului, pentru că nu veți avea nevoie de ea decât atunci când veți dori să plecați. Sau când va trebui să plecați, mai bine spus, pentru că sunt sigură că o să vă doriți să fi petrecut mai mult timp aici.

Aeroportul din Podgorica se află la numai 10 minute de centrul orașului și, implicit, de hotelul Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora. Așa că, dacă nu intenționați să ajungeți cu mașina, există posibilitatea de a călători cu avionul și de a ajunge foarte repede la/ de la aeroport.

EN: You would be tempted to say that a hotel which is placed as near as possible to the city center is the best choice. I totally agree, but, when you leave the hotel, make two steps and reach Trg Republike, which is the central square and the place where the locals meet, can it be considered that you are truly in the heart of the city? Or when you cross a park (Krajlev Park) and get to Stara Varos, the ancient Turkish district? Or when you realize that it seems like the whole life of Podgorica (or the most intense part of it) unrevels around you, because you are in an area which is surrounded by terraces, restaurants or stores?

Exactly, Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora it’s situated right in the center of the city and, from here, you can walk to all the showplaces in lazy strolls which take only a few minutes. Public means of transport or taxis become pointless here. And this also applies to the personal car, which can be left in the underground car park, because you will only need it when you want to live the city. Or, more accurately, when you will have to, because I can guarantee you’ll wish you had spent more time here.

The airport in Podgorica is only 10 minutes away from the city center, therefore from the Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora too. Thus, if you don’t intend to travel by car, the plane is a very good alternative, giving the fact that you can get from and at the airport very easily.

 

Camerele – The rooms

 

În noaptea petrecută la Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora m-am bucurat de o frumoasă și spațioasă cameră amplasată la etajul 7, mobilată și decorată în același stil elegant, dar și modern, al întregului hotel. Mai exact, o cameră executiv cu două paturi duble și cu acces la lounge (two double bed executive room lounge acces). Hotelul dispune de 180 de camere și suite, toate având aceleași tipuri de paturi, Hilton Serenity, dar și decorate în același mod, cu mobilier în culori calde și extrem de primitoare, în nuanțe de maro și bej, care te fac să te simți ca într-o poveste în care tu ești în orice moment personajul principal.

Camera conține toate facilitățile care să asigure confortul necesar, de la spațiul foarte mare atât al camerei, cât și al băii, la internetul care funcționează foarte rapid (în întreg hotelul, de altfel), televizorul de dimensiuni mari, garderoba spațioasă și cu toate articolele necesare, toate acestea făcându-te să te simți ca acasă. Adică să simți că nu îți lipsește absolut nimic.

EN: The night I have spent at Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora has given me the opportunity to enjoy staying in a beautiful, spacious room on the 7^th floor, which was furnished and decorated in the same elegant and modern style which is an important characteristic of the entire hotel. More precisely, two double bed executive room with lounge access. The hotel numbers an amount of 180 rooms and suites where you can find the same type of beds, Hilton Serenity, because all of them are decorated very similarly, with warm-coloured, extremely welcoming furniture, its brown and beige shadows making you feel part of a story where you are at any moment the protagonist.

The room has all the facilities that provide the indispensable comfort, from the wide space both of the room and bathroom, to the internet which functions at very high speed in the rooms and also in the entire hotel, the wide tv, the spacious cupboards and all the necessary habitual items. All these things gather up in order to make you feel like home, which is the feeling that you don’t have the need for anything more.

 

SPA + salon de înfrumusețare – SPA + beauty salon

 

Dacă vreți să descoperiți cel mai mare SPA din Podgorica, înseamnă că ați ajuns la locul potrivit! O piscină cu lungimea de 16 metri, jacuzzi, dușuri senzoriale cu efecte sonore ori vizuale (cum ar fi o furtună tropicală, spre exemplu), diverse tipuri de saună, toate vă așteaptă să vă bucurați din plin de ele la Doclea Spa. Eu așa mi-am început ziua și nu cred că puteam face o alegere mai bună! Cred că aș fi putut petrece întreaga zi acolo dacă nu mă aștepta un oraș întreg să îl descopăr.Dacă te relaxezi de dimineață, parcă este mai frumoasă ziua, nu? 🙂

Dar nu doar atât, ci puteți să aveți parte de masaj ori de tratamente corporale la salonul de înfrumusețare, sau să vă mențineți în formă la sala de fitness cu program non-stop a hotelului.

EN: If you want to discover the biggest SPA in Podgorica, then you are lucky to find yourself in the proper place! A 16 meter pool, jacuzzi, sensory showers with sound or visual effects (for example, a tropical storm), different types of sauna, they are all waiting for you to delight in trying them at Doclea Spa. This was my way to begin a new day and I coulnd’t have made a better choice. I think I certainly could have spent the entire day here had it not been for the city waiting for me to discover it. Starting the day with such a way of relaxing seems to make it more beautiful, doesn’t it? 🙂

And this is not all, because you can have a massage or body treatments at the beauty salon, or keep yourselves fit at the non-stop gym.

 

Restaurantele hotelului și micul dejun – The hotel’s restaurants and the breakfast

 

Oaspeții hotelului se pot bucura de un mic dejun tip bufet suedez cu produse tradiționale și internaționale și cu prăjituri de casă (delicioase!), în restaurantul Crna Gora, cel care oferă, totodată, și prânzul ori cina à la carte.

Acesta este doar unul dintre restaurantele și terasele hotelului, acestea fiind în număr de patru, fiecare dintre ele având particularitățile ei. Spre exemplu, una dintre cele care mi-au plăcut cel mai mult este terasa de la parter, Terrace Fontana, cu deschidere și vedere spre fântâna arteziană din fața hotelului, cea care noaptea oferă un frumos joc de lumini și culori.

Tot la parter, în holul principal, se află The Bar and Cigar Club, iar la etajul 6, Executive Lounge vă așteaptă pe tot parcursul zilei cu băuturi și snacksuri, alături de o vedere asupra întregului oraș.

Preferatul meu este Sky Bar, barul cu terasă de pe acoperiș, dar acestuia o să îi dedic mai mult timp în cele ce urmează, deoarece, din punctul meu de vedere, este locul perfect pentru a vă petrece serile în Podgorica.

Dar nu doar restaurantele sunt recunoscute, ci și sălile pentru ședințe ori conferințe spațioase și luminoase, Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora fiind foarte popular în rândul turiștilor care călătoresc în interes de afaceri.

EN: The guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast with traditional and international dishes and with homemade cakes (absolutely delicious!) in the Crna Gora restaurant, which also provides à la carte for lunch and dinner.

This is only one out of the 4 restaurants and terraces of the hotel, and each one is special in its own way, having different particularities. For example, one of those which I liked the most was the terrace on the ground floor, Terrace Fontana, which offered a great view of the artesian well in front of the hotel, the one which presents a beautiful light and color show at night.

Also on the ground floor, in the main hall, there is The Bar and Cigar Club, and on the 6^th floor, the Executive Lounge is waiting for you with drinks and snacks the whole day, along with a view from above, over the entire city.

My favourite, still, is the Sky Bar, the bar with a rooftop terrace, but I will dedicate more time to it in the following lines because, from my point of view, it is the perfect place where you can spend your evenings in Podgorica.

But the restaurants are not the only well-known places in the hotel, because Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora is very popular among tourists travelling on business, thanks to its spacious boardrooms or conference rooms.

 

Terasa de pe acoperiș – The rooftop terrace

 

Așa cum am mai spus, Sky Bar este alegerea perfectă pentru a vă petrece seara, pentru a cina ori, pur și simplu, pentru a vă bucura de un cocktail privind orașul. Pentru că priveliștea care ni se dezvăluie este minunată. Vă spun sigur, cu greu vă veți despărți de acest loc, chiar și în miez de noapte. Bucătăria restaurantului este deschisă până la ora 24:00 și puteți servi pe terasă cele mai delicioase preparate. Și vă spun că sunt foarte apetisante, iar, dacă nu mă credeți, priviți fotografiile pentru a vă convinge. 🙂

EN: As I have already stated, the Sky Bar is the perfect choice for spending the evening, either if you want to enjoy your dinner, or drink a cocktail while regarding the city lights. This is because the disclosing view underneath us is wonderful. I am telling you for sure, you will hardly manage to leave this place, be it the middle of the night. The kitchen is open until midnight and you can savour the most delicious dishes on the terrace. And I’m telling you for sure that they are very appetizing, but it’s ok if you don’t trust me, you can take a look at the pictures. 🙂

 

Atmosfera generală – General ambiance

 

Ospitalitatea este una dintre principalele valori după care se ghidează politica hotelului și a întregului brand Hilton, așa că este lesne de înțeles că toată lumea se va preocupa ca sejurul oaspeților să fie unul de neuitat. Oriunde privești descoperi figuri zâmbitoare, relaxate și prietenoase, fapt ce se transmite întregii atmosfere a hotelului. La recepția hotelului veți primi o hartă a orașului și toate informațiile de care aveți nevoie pentru a-l descoperi, realizând, astfel, cât de aproape sunteți de toată vibrația din oraș. Și realizând cum hotelul și orașul reușesc să creeze o conexiune, Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora fiind un simbol al lui și al viitorului frumos care se conturează.

EN: Hospitality is one of the guiding virtues of the hotel and of the entire Hilton brand, therefore it’s a natural thing that everyone will take care to mare the guests’ stay an unforgettable one. Wherever you look you discover smiling, relaxed and friendly faces, which conceal great professionals behind, and this thing contributes to the entire atmosphere of the hotel. You will receive at the reception a map of the city and all the information you need if you want to discover it, a thing which will make you realize how close you are to the soul of the city. You will also realize how the hotel and the city manage to create a connection because of the fact that Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora is still a symbol of this place and of the beautiful outlining future.
