De cele mai multe ori, ne alegem destinațiile în funcție de frumusețea peisajelor, de încărcătura istorică pe care clădirile ori străzile o poartă, de gastronomia ce oferă preparate tradiționale cu arome și savori greu de egalat, ori de posibilitățile de relaxare pe care le avem în locurile respective. Însă, nu de puține ori, mi s-a întâmplat să descopăr locuri de care să mă atașez iremediabil și, deși dorința de a vizita întreaga lume este cea care mă conduce, de fiecare dată , în destinații noi, să îmi doresc să revin în cele deja vizitate, chiar și doar pentru un singur motiv. Motivul principal pentru care m-aș întoarce în Budva ori de câte ori aș avea ocazia nu este cel al peisajelor incredibile, al orașului cu un trecut fascinant și cu un prezent înfloritor, ori al temperaturilor blânde în majoritatea anului, deși acestea au fost aspecte care m-au fascinat la acest oraș. Motivul principal este hotelul unde am petrecut cele două nopți pe coasta muntenegreană a Mării Adriatice, Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort 5*. Un hotel numit dorință, așa cum îmi place mie să îi spun, o dorință îndeplinită.

Am ajuns într-un loc de care cu greu m-am despărțit. Într-un hotel pe care nu îți vine să îl părăsești nici măcar o clipă, deoarece ai parte aici de cea mai bună servire și de toate facilitățile pentru a-ți petrece timpul și pentru a avea un sejur la mare de neuitat. Un hotel aflat pe o plajă înconjurată de munți. În stânga munte, în dreapta tot munte, în față marea limpede.

Un hotel cât o lume întreagă. Din punctul meu de vedere, el este o destinație în sine. Reușește cu brio să te atragă din prima clipă, astfel încât să îți dorești să îi descoperi fiecare piscină, fiecare restaurant, fiecare gust al preparatelor oferite. Să respiri aerul dimineții de la terasa camerei, ori să te bucuri de valurile Mării Adriatice de pe plaja privată a hotelului.

EN: Most of the time, we choose our destinations depending on the beauty of the landscapes, on the historical meaning of the buildings or  streets, on the gastronomy which offers to us traditional dishes with hardly equalized flavours and savours, or on the possibilities to relax which those places display. Thus, more often than not, I happened to discover places which I irremediably grew fond if. Although my desire to visit the entire world is leading me every single time in new destinations, it occured to me to acquire the wish to return in the places I had already visited, be it just for a single tiny reason. But the main reason I would happily return to Budva whenever given the chance is not the stunning landscapes, nor the fascinating past or the flourishing present of the city, not even the friendly climate during the whole year, although these things have really fascinated me. In fact, the main reason for this is the hotel where I have spent the two nights on the Montenegrin coast of the Adriatic Sea, Splendid Conference & SPA Resort 5*. A hotel named desire, as I like to call it. A fulfilled desire.

I reached a place which I hardly could bid farewell to. A hotel you will not get the need to leave even for a moment, because here you benefit from the best service and from all the facilities you need in order to have an unforgettable holiday at the seaside. This hotel is located on a beach which is surrounded by mountains. You have mountains on your left, mountains on your right and the clear sea in front of you.

This hotel seems to be an entire world. As I see it, it’s a destination in itself. It successfully achieves to appeal to you from the first moment, so you’ll certainly wish to discover every pool, every restaurant, every taste of the dishes it offers. You’ll breathe the morning air sitting on the terrace of your room and delight in the waves of the Adriatic Sea on the private beach of the hotel.

Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort este un hotel de 5 stele care face parte din lanțul de hoteluri Montenegro Stars, ce conține 3 hoteluri în zona Budva-Becici. Deschis în anul în care Muntenegru a devenit un stat independent, 2006, în zona țării care atrage cei mai mulți turiști din toate colțurile lumii, hotelul a devenit rapid unul dintre pionii care au contribuit și contribuie la dezvoltarea turismului muntenegrean cu o viteză incredibilă.

Mai cu seamă că este primul hotel de 5 stele de pe coasta estică a Mării Adriatice și, încă de la deschidere, s-a axat pe oferirea de experiențe incredibile și de neuitat oaspeților și reușește cu brio să facă acest lucru, prin ospitalitatea cu care ești tratat, prin felul în care fiecare turist reușește să se simtă unic și extrem de important.

Toate aceste motive, dar și cele pe care le voi prezenta în cele ce urmează, transformă Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort în cea mai bună alegere de cazare din Budva, din punctul meu de vedere și nu numai.

EN: Splendid Conference & SPA Resort is a 5* hotel, part of the Montenegro Stars Hotel Group which has 3 hotels in the Becici-Budva area. Firstly opened in 2006, the year when Montenegro became independent, in the region of the country which gets the most tourists from all over the world, the hotel fastly became one of the elements contributing to the development at a high speed of Montenegrin tourism.

More exactly, it’s the first 5* hotel on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea and, from its opening, it centred round offering incredible and hardly forgetable experiences to its guests. It admirably succeeds in doing this, through the hospitality you are treated with, through the way every tourist gets to feel unique and extremely important.

All these reasons, but also those which I will present in the folllowing lines, turn Splendid Conference & SPA Resort into the best choice of accomodation in Budva, and not only in my opinion.

Amplasament – Location

Vorbim despre o destinație cu deschidere la mare, deci unde ar putea fi mai bine amplasat un hotel dacă nu pe malul mării? Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort este situat pe plaja Becici, una dintre cele mai frumoase plaje din Budva și de pe întreaga coastă a Mării Adriatice.

Aceasta se află la 2 km de orașul Budva, traseu pe care eu am ales să îl parcurg pe jos, pentru a mă bucura de briza mării și de întreg peisajul. Dacă nu vreți să aveți grija parcării (orașul este foarte aglomerat și locurile de parcare se găsesc cu destul de mare dificultate), puteți opta pentru un taxi, ori pentru o plimbare pe faleză, așa cum am făcut și eu.

EN: We are talking about a coastal destination, so where could a hotel more properly placed if not on the shore? Splendid Conference & SPA Resort is seated on the Becici beach, one of the most beautiful both in Budva and on the Adriatic coast.

We will find it at a distance of 2 km from Budva, a route which I chose to discover on foot, giving myself the opportunity to enjoy the breeze and the entire view. If you don’t want to worry about the parking (the city is really crowded and it’s very difficult to find a parking lot), you can opt for a taxi, or, as I did, for a walk along the cliff.

Camerele – The rooms

Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort oferă camere cu vedere la mare, respectiv 322 de camere superioare, 4 Suite Junior, 13 Suite Wellness un Penthouse și o Suită Prezidențială. Eu am petrecut cele două nopți într-o frumoasă cameră superioară, cu o priveliște incredibilă, într-un răsfăț deplin.

La sosire, gazdele mele m-au întâmpinat cu un frumos cadou de bun venit, o sticlă de vin și un platou cu fructe. A fost o adevărată încântare să savurez vinul roșu muntenegrean pe terasa camerei și să privesc marea, să descopăr muntele, să mă relaxez complet.Iar baia poate deveni unul dintre cele mai romantice locuri, mai exact cada ce se poate observa și din cameră, locul perfect pentru a încheia ziua.

Nu cred că există ceva ce să-mi fi dorit sau de care să fi avut nevoie și să nu fi găsit în această cameră. Spațiul este mare, curățenia deplină, baia și dressingul cu toate produsele de îngrijire necesare, terasa a devenit unul dintre locurile mele preferate din hotel. 🙂 Dar și cel mai potrivit pentru cafeaua de dimineață, mai ales că am fost matinală, pentru a observa peisajul de la primele ore ale dimineții, atunci când încă simțeai cum liniștea domină și când razele soarelui prevesteau o nouă zi călduroasă de vară.

EN: Splendid Conference & SPA Resort offers a lot of rooms with a sea view, exactly 322 Superior Rooms, 4 Junior Suites, 13 Wellness Suites, a Penthouse and a Presidential Suite. I spent the two nights in a gorgeous Superior Room with an incredible landscape, in a total delight.

At the arrival, my hosts met me with a pleasant welcome gift, a bottle of wine and a fruit platter. Relishing the red Montenegrin wine on the terrace of my room, along with admiring the sea, discovering the mountains and completely relaxing while doing these was a real enchantment. And the bathroom can become one of the most romantic places, specifically the bathtub which can be observed from the room through a window. The perfect place to end the day!

I don’t think there is anything I wished or needed which couldn’t be found in this room. The room is spacious, perfectly clean, the bathroom and the wardrobe have all the necessary care products, and the terrace is a very pleasant place to spend your time, having become one of my favourite places in the hotel. But also one of the most suitable for the morning coffee, particularly because I woke up early to admire the view, at a time when you could still feel how the silence was dominating the atmosphere and when the subbeams were foretelling a new warm summer day.

Micul dejun și cina – Breakfast and dinner

Sejurul la Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort poate fi de mai multe feluri. Mai exact, avem posibilitatea de a alege pachete care includ doar micul dejun, demipensiune ori all-inclusive. Pentru cei care nu intenționează să părăsească hotelul, sau poate doar prea puțin, varianta all-inclusive este alegerea perfectă. Pentru cei care vor ca ziua să și-o petreacă descoperind orașul Budva, varianta demipensiune cred că este o alegere inspirată. De aceste servicii m-am bucurat și eu și mi-a fost extrem de greu să rezist tuturor tentațiilor ce erau în jurul meu.

Cele trei restaurante și patru baruri întâmpină turiștii pe parcursul întregii zile și fiecare are specificul lui. Astfel, restaurantul în care am servit micul dejun și cina se numește La Bussola și oferă preparate mediteraneene și internaționale, cărora le veți rezista cu greu, credeți-mă!

Fructe de mare, pește, toate sortimentele de carne, pizza, paste, salate, fructe din belșug, o explozie de culoare în cele mai apetisante dulciuri. Plus bucătari care pregătesc constant cele mai căutate preparate. Aceasta a fost imaginea de la cină, iar la micul dejun, același tratament: preparate dintre cele mai diverse și cele mai apetisante, încât, dacă vreo clipă te gândești la siluetă, îți spun că îți va trece extrem de rapid acest gând! 🙂

La intrarea în hotel va fi imposibil să nu remarcați Lobby Bar, locul în care vă puteți bucura de o băutură cu o priveliște de ansamblu asupra piscinelor, dar și a întregii curți interioare a resortului.

Dacă vreți să fiți și mai aproape de piscină, pe marginea ei se află Terazza sul Mare, unde, de asemenea, puteți savura preparate mediteraneene și internaționale sau unde vă puteți bucura de o seară relaxantă la malul mării.Când noaptea începe să își intre în drepturi, totul capătă, parcă, altă dimensiune și alt farmec. Palmierii se ridică semeț în lumina lunii ori a reflectoarelor, piscinele sunt învăluite în calm, iar vocile turiștilor sunt cele care animă atmosfera, pe lângă spectacolele care sunt oferite oaspeților periodic.

Mai aproape de plajă, în imediata ei vecinătate, se află Promenada, un restaurant cu specific asiatic, așa că, dacă vi se face poftă de sushi (și nu numai!), știți unde puteți găsi!

Și, dacă ajungem la plajă, Ensenada Beach Bar ne așteaptă pentru a ne domoli setea și pentru a ne răsfăța cu băuturi dintre cele mai diverse și mai colorate.

EN: Your stay at Splendid Conference & SPA Resort can come in many forms. More specifically, we have the possibility to choose between offers which include only the breakfast, or provide half-board, or even all-inclusive. For those who don’t intend to leave the hotel, or maybe not for too long, the all-inclusive option is the perfect choice. For those who want to spend their days discovering Budva, the half-board must be an inspired idea. Actually, the latter was also my choice and I could hardly resist to all the temptations around me.

There are three restaurants and four bars which welcome the tourists during the entire day, each one with its specific. The restaurant where I have enjoyed my breakfasts and dinners is called La Bussola and it offers mediterranean and international dishes, which will give you a hard time, because they are so hard to resist!

Seafood, fish, different types of meat, pizza, pasta, plenty of fruits, many kinds of cheese and an explosion of colour produced the most appetizing desserts. Not to mention the cooks which are constantly preparing the mosly desired dishes. This is offered during the dinner, but we should not think less of the breakfast: ones of the most varied and appealing dishes. If only for a second does the thought about your silhouette cross your mind, I guarantee that it will vanish away immediately.

When you enter the hotel, it will be impossible for you not to notice the Lobby Bar, the place where you can enjoy a drink and which gives you a top view over the pools and the area around them.

If you want to get even closer to the pool, you can find Terazza sul Mare near it, you can also taste mediterranean and international dishes or where you can enjoy a relaxing evening on the shore. But when the night starts its reign, it seems like everything gains a different charm. The palm trees are proudly raising in the moonlight or in the spotlights, the pools are enmeshed in a calm atmosphere and the tourists’ voices are the ones which enliven the ambience, besides the shows which are periodically offered to the guests.

Closer to the beach, right next to it, there is Promenada, an Asian restaurant so, if you’re in the mood for sushi (and much more!), you know where to find it!

And, if we reach the beach, Ensenada Beach Bar will be waiting for us to endulge ourselves with ones of the most colorful and varied drinks.

Modalități de relaxare – How to relax

După cum am mai spus, hotelul oferă toate facilitățile unui sejur de neuitat și nu doar atât, ci toate la superlativ. Mai exact, aici vom întâlni cel mai mare SPA din întreg Muntenegrul, care dispune de trei piscine și de un bar, Bracera Pool Bar. Din păcate, am renunțat la acest răsfăț în favoarea descoperirii orașului și, dacă ar fi să regret un lucru din călătoria înBudva, acesta ar fi. Sau pot spune că am lăsat un lucru pentru viitor. 🙂

De asemenea, tot aici se află și cea mai mare sală de conferințe din țară, care oferă, la rândul ei, un bar, Conference Bar, deci Hotel Splendid Conference & SPA Resort nu este ales de turiști pentru doar sejururi de relaxare, ci și pentru călătoriile în interes de afaceri.

Pentru cei pasionați de jocurile de noroc, hotelul dispune de propriul cazino, Casino Royal, iar, pentru familiile care călătoresc cu copiii, există spații de joacă disponibile (The King Castle), unde cei mici au parte de diverse activități de recreere, distractive și educaționale, ori, pentru cei mai mici dintre ei, puteți beneficia de servicii de babysitting.

Și acum să vă povestesc puțin despre principalele lucruri pe care le putem face la mare, respectiv plajă și baie. 🙂 Dacă doriți să simțiți valurile Adriaticii, o puteți face fără niciun fel de probleme pe plaja privată a hotelului, care dispune de șezlonguri și umbrele de plajă, precum și de barul despre care v-am povestit. La recepție primiți cartele, valabile atât pentru plajă, cât și pentru piscină. Pentru că, dacă simțiți nevoia de puțină intimitate, cea mai bună variantă sunt cele trei piscine exterioare, frumos decorate și înconjurate și ele, bineînțeles, de șezlonguri, umbrele și terase.

Pentru cei mai activi dintre noi, care își doresc și menținerea condiției fizice, nu doar relaxare întreaga zi, hotelul oferă terenuri de volei și de tenis, precum și o sală de fitness, pentru înviorarea de dimineață, de ce nu?

As I have already said, the hotel provides not only all the facilities for an unforgettable holiday, but also superlative ones. This is because here we can find the biggest SPA in Montenegro, also has three pools and a bar, Bracera Pool Bar. Unfortunately, I gave up to this indulgence so as to discover the city and, if I were to regret a thing from my holiday in Budva, this would be the one. Or, as I like to say, I left it for the future.

EN: You can also find here the biggest conference hall in the country with its Conference Bar, because Splendid Conference & SPA Resort is not only chosen by tourists for relaxing, but also for business travel.

For those who are passionate about gambling, the hotel has its own casino, Casino Royal, and also for families with children, there are playgrounds (The King Castle) where the little ones can enjoy different recreational, entertaining and educational activities or, for the even smaller ones, you are provided with babysitting services.

And now I want to tell you about the main things we can do at the seaside, sunbathing and swimming in the sea. If you want to feel the waves of the Adriatic Sea, you are free to do it on the private beach of the hotel where you will find beachchairs and sunshades and also the bar I have already told you about. At the reception you will receive some cards which are suitable both for the beach and for the pool. Because if you feel the need for more privacy, the three exterior pools which are nicely decorated and of course surrounded by beachchairs, sunshades and terraces are the best option for you.

For the more active of us, those who also want a good physical condition, not only lazy relaxing days, the hotel offers tennis and volleyball courts, and also a gym, why not for the morning refreshment.

Atmosfera generală – General ambiance

Nu pot descrie în cuvinte bucuria pe care am simțit-o atunci când am ajuns în acest loc plin de magie. Am descoperit, în călătoriile mele, multe hoteluri extrem de frumoase și mulți oameni cu zâmbete molipsitoare. Însă de acesta m-am atașat iremediabil. De ce? Pentru emoțiile pe care mi le-a creat, pentru bucuria că s-a alăturat proiectului meu, „Be a Balkan in the middle of the Balkans”, pentru că totul a fost cu plus. Adică, mult mai frumos decât m-aș fi așteptat și mult mai intense emoțiile.

Cel mai important, în afara amplasamentului excelent, a condițiilor impecabile, a decorului ca de poveste, a fost, pentru mine, faptul că am simțit un răsfăț deplin. Orașul este superb, mi-a plăcut să îl descopăr, să simt aerul medieval și mediteraneean despre care v-am povestit aici, însă, cea mai puternică amintire despre zilele petrecute în Budva este, cu siguranță, hotelul care mi-a fost gazdă.

V-am purtat astăzi, dragii mei, cu gândul spre locuri unde totul este la superlativ și sper că am reușit să vă fac să îndrăgiți acest hotel la fel de tare precum eu o fac. Aici, fiecare dintre noi poate avea parte de vacanța pe care și-o dorește, de răsfățul după care suspină, de zile și de momente de liniște ori, de ce nu, de distracție în centrul vieții de noapte din Muntenegru, orașul Budva.

EN: I cannot describe in words the joy I felt when I reached this seemingly magic place. During my journeys I have discovered many extremely beautiful hotels and many people with contagious smiles. But this is one which I irremediably grew fond of. Why? For the emotions it provoked to me, for the pleasure if offered to me for joining the project „Be a Balkan in the middle of the Balkans”, because it was all positive, which is to say more beautiful that I had expected and certainly with more intense feelings.

But for me, the most important, besides the excellent locations, the flawless conditions, the fairytale design, was the fact that I have experienced absolute relish.The city is a gorgeous one, it was a pleasure for me to discover it, to feel the medieval and mediterranean touch which I have told you about here. Thus, the most powerful memory of the days I have spent in Budva is, unquestionably, the hotel which has hosted me.

Today, my dear ones, I have led your thoughts towards places where all the things are superlative and I hope I managed to make you cherish this hotel as much as I do. Here is the place where all of us can have the holiday we wish, the delight we crave for, the peaceful days and moments we hope for and, why not, the entertainment we need, which can be found in the heart of the nightlife in Montenegro, the city of Budva.
